Green aerobics?

Proef is looking for a new garden man or woman!
Since the most snow has disappeared and the first green sprouts are rising, we are looking forward to start working in our garden again.

We are looking for a volunteer who would like to work out with our interns in the garden. A part of the harvest, can of course been taken home!

Brighten up your mood and spend some time at Proef on Sunday the 13th Dec! We‘ll set a light under the kettle and reserve some cosy seats next to the fireplace. Snack on some delicious food and drinks to warm you up or pick yourself a couple of leaves from the photosynthesis tree.
Also look out for the Proef umbrella on the Funky Christmas Market on Westergasfabriek!

So: go to Proef on Sunday 13th December, from 12.00 –18.00!

Interns wanted!

Proef is Marije Vogelzang’s design studio on the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. From here we prepare different in The Netherlands and abroad, like for instance food-installations, caterings, restaurant concepts, lectures and exhibitions.

We are looking for design interns with a passion for food. The internship is a minimum of three months and is full-time, you will work with a small and enthusiastic team.

We are looking for interns with an independent working attitude and a good work ethic.

New winter-lamp!

With the help of our friends at FABLAB, we now have a new winter lamp! The piece is 7 metres long and has been laser cut out of paper!

The text gives a simple (but delicious) recipe for gingerbread, the perfect winter snack- we have also baked an especially big batch of it, come down to the park and have a bite!

Photosynthese Tree at Discovery'09

About 1200 visitors of the annual, night-long party Discovery 09 at the NEMO science museum in Amsterdam truly enjoyed the reappearance of Proef’s Photosyntesis Tree! Dressed in white researcher outfits and sun glasses MC Hotze and his crew baked 1000 dough leaves on 46 light bulbs. When baked thoroughly, dough leaves fall off the lamps and are best eaten with a dip of crème fraîche and herbs (photos by Markuz Wernli Saito).
